MRI Technologist

The physicians of Valley Radiology Consultants Medical Group, Inc. have proudly served San Diego County since 1971. Our group of physicians is accompanied by a dedicated support staff of radiology technologists, administrative assistants and management personnel. Valley Radiology Consultants owns and staffs outpatient radiology centers in Poway and Escondido.

We are looking for Full-Time, Part Time and Per Diem MRI TECHNOLOGISTS who can work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings and weekends. No Call.

Benefits are paid to Full-Time technologists only.

DUAL MRI/CT TECHNOLOGIST even better!

Candidates must be willing to work at both our Escondido and Poway clinics.

Responsibilities:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and other imaging modalities if possible, including DEXA.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure

• High School graduate.
• Must have current ARRT for (R) (MR) -- license required.
• Must have and maintain current license/certification for Radiology Technologist, CPR (BLS) and Venipuncture certification.

Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year work experience with Siemens and Hitachi MRI platforms preferred.
• Experience in an outpatient Radiology clinical setting preferred.

Specific Skills Desired:

• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within prescribed exam times and follow all VRC imaging protocols.
• Must possess understanding of the functionality of medical office operations, radiation safety, patient safety, desired patient through-put while providing optimal patient care, and consideration for patient's circumstances, preferably in outpatient radiology.
• Ability to adhere to VRC's personnel policies and practices including attendance and punctuality requirements.
• Complies with all applicable policies, rules and regulations as outlined by VRC, State and Federal regulations including compliance with HIPAA privacy and security.
• Ability to maintain a calm and courteous demeanor and conduct business in a professional manner.
