Echocardiography Technologist

The Registered Echocardiography Technologist is a member of the Echo Lab Team. The Registered Echo Technologist performs a variety of echocardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units or surgical setting for patients ages pediatric to geriatric adult. The Registered Echo Technologist will provide measurement and image data to the Cardiologists for interpretation. The Registered Echo Technologist will be competent in the performance of Adult Transthoracic and Stress Echo Studies and Pediatric Transthoracic Echo Studies. The Echo Technologist may also perform other cardiovascular tests as required by Essentia Health Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab. The position will require the Technologist to drive to work at outreach facilities in Minnesota and Wisconsin as needed. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others Education Qualifications:

East Market:
Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology associate degree program with supervised clinical experience in echocardiography

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS),

OR

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International. New hire technologists must be registry eligible and become registered within 6 months of hire.

Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health 's insurer

BLS Certification upon hire or within 30 days of hire or transfer.
