Job Summary:
Performs radiation therapy duties and administrative tasks, including updating policies, educating staff on ODH requirements, and ensuring equipment quality checks and maintenance. Chairs QA/QI meetings, assists with developing plans, and ensures CoC compliance. Supports patient care, staff training, evaluations, and billing audits. Works with physicists on quality and safety standards, and assists in electronic medical record usage.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in radiation therapy, anatomy, and physiology. Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Knowledgeable in ODH requirements.
Equipment/Tools/Software:
Familiar with radiation oncology tools, including:
- VARIAN linear accelerator
- Patient information systems (HIS, PACS, RIS, IMPAC)
- CT Simulation Unit and Portal Vision
Primary Responsibilities:
- Update and educate staff on radiation policies and ODH requirements
- Ensure equipment checks and preventative maintenance are completed
- Lead QA/QI meetings and assist with plans
- Support CoC standards and staff training
- Assist with billing audits and patient care coordination
- Aid physicists with equipment documentation and compliance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy and maintain treatment records
- Perform simulations, dose calculations, and block fabrication
- Coordinate patient schedules and monitor progress
