Radiation Oncologist Jobs in Littleton, NH
A Radiation Oncologist is a specialist in the radiology field who uses radiation therapy to treat diseases, primarily cancer. They also work closely with other medical professionals such as surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, and medical physicists to develop comprehensive treatment plans. In order to become a Radiation Oncologist, they should have a high degree of technical knowledge, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong understanding of radiation safety. They must also be certified by the American Board of Radiology and should complete a residency in Radiation Oncology. Prior to becoming a Radiation Oncologist, a person may have roles as a Medical Student, Medical Intern, or a Resident in Radiation Oncology or related disciplines, which provides the hands-on training and experience necessary to be competent in this highly specialized field.
