Radiation Physicists Jobs in Texas
A Radiation Physicist in the radiology field is responsible for ensuring the accurate delivery of radiation to patients in radiation therapy. Key skills for Radiation Physicists include strong mathematical abilities, analytical thinking, detail-oriented, and excellent problem-solving skills. They should also possess good communication skills as they frequently work in a team of health care professionals. Radiation Physicists should have a certification from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certifying body. Prior to becoming a Radiation Physicist, individuals may have served in roles such as a Medical Physicist, a Radiologic Technologist, or a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
