Radiation Therapist Jobs in Grove City, OH
A Radiation Therapist, also known as a Therapeutic Radiographer, plays a vital role in the radiology field. They are primarily responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients suffering from cancer and other diseases. Their duties encompass all aspects of treatment, from initial planning stages, through to monitoring the patient's response to the therapy. They work closely with Radiation Oncologists and medical physicists, ensuring the radiation doses are accurately delivered to the patient's tumor site while sparing the surrounding normal tissue.

Proficiency in using sophisticated radiation therapy equipment and software, understanding of radiation safety measures, and strong attention to detail are also essential. They must have a certification in Radiation Therapy, typically earned after completing a Bachelor's degree program in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology, followed by a passing score on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam.
